Codelocks (incl. Masunt)

Codelocks are standalone smart locks that accept generated one-off codes: no wiring, no hub. Masunt key safes (outdoor safes holding a physical key) are built on Codelocks technology, so LIKE MAGIC supports them through the same connection. Connected to LIKE MAGIC, each stay automatically gets a door code valid for the guest's dates. This is typical for apartments, annexes, or key hand-over via safe.

1. What Guests Get​

  • 🔢 A generated code per stay: for the room's lock, or for the Masunt safe holding the physical key. The code is entered on the lock's keypad.
  • The code is valid for the duration of the stay. It is not shown on the guest's keys page, so pass it to the guest through your own guest communication.
  • ❌ No in-app opening, no key cards, no Apple/Google Wallet keys, no self-chosen codes.

2. Prerequisites​

  • Codelocks-based locks or Masunt safes installed and set up on the Codelocks side.
  • For each lock or safe, LIKE MAGIC needs three values from its Codelocks setup: the lock identifier, the lock model and the time code. Provide them during onboarding; for locks added later, via a Support Ticket.

3. Mapping Locks​

Once LIKE MAGIC has entered your locks, map each one to its unit and accessibility in Settings → Door Access exactly as for every door provider. See Door Access, section Set-Up & Mapping, for the procedure and for how accessibility states decide who sees which door.

4. How Code Validity Works​

Codelocks codes are offline codes. The validity window is baked into the code itself:

  • Codes are issued when the guest's room access is granted and are valid for the stay.
  • As offline codes, they cannot be revoked remotely. A code lapses at its own expiry.

5. Troubleshooting​

6. Conclusion​

Codelocks and Masunt bring code-based access to properties without wired locking infrastructure. Each stay gets its code automatically, safes hand over physical keys unattended, and the only setup is handing LIKE MAGIC the three values per lock and mapping the locks to units.
